Michael Madsen Dies at 67; Remembered for Tarantino Roles

Actor Michael Madsen, who earned acclaim for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, died on July 3. Emergency responders found him unresponsive at his Malibu home, and officials confirmed he died from cardiac arrest. There were no signs of foul play.
Over his long career, Madsen appeared in more than 300 films and shows. Directors often cast him in tough, emotionally layered roles. He built strong working relationships with Quentin Tarantino, starring in several of his films.
Before his death, Madsen had remained busy. He was filming Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and had just finished editing a poetry book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.
