San Francisco’s beloved honey bear artist fnnch has brought his colorful pop-art retrospective inside one of the city’s most iconic homes. At 714 Steiner Street, a Pink Painted Lady near Alamo Square now hosts the fnnch Museum — featuring 116 different honey bear paintings, each representing a unique edition released by the artist since 2015.

This marks the first time a Painted Lady has been opened to the public for an art exhibit.

What’s Inside

Visitors can explore a curated timeline of fnnch’s work spanning the past decade. The exhibit is arranged chronologically and includes show notes, photos, and placards that share the story behind each bear. Many pieces were first displayed during the COVID-19 lockdown, when fnnch’s artwork brought color and comfort to shuttered storefronts.

There’s also a hand-painted timeline and personal notes from the artist, offering a rare look at how his work has evolved.

Free Entry, RSVP Required

Admission is free, but an RSVP is required. Each reservation covers two people. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 12 PM to 8 PM, and runs through August 31, 2025.

A Unique Look Inside a City Landmark

The Painted Ladies are some of San Francisco’s most photographed homes, but they’re rarely open to the public. This pop-up offers a unique chance to explore the inside of one — while celebrating the work of a local artist whose honey bears have become part of the city’s visual identity.

The fnnch Museum is right across from Alamo Square Park, making it an easy and worthwhile stop for anyone exploring the neighborhood.
