Cassie Ventura took the stand in a Manhattan courtroom as part of the federal case against her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs. During her testimony, Ventura described a relationship marked by fear, control, and long-term abuse.

She told jurors that Combs regularly placed her in sexual situations with other people while he watched. She also said he recorded many of those encounters and used the footage as a threat whenever she tried to leave.

“He used power, fear, and control to keep me there,” Ventura said in court. “I didn’t think I had a way out.”

Ventura met Combs when she was 19 and he was 37. According to her, Combs quickly took over both her career and her personal life. As time went on, she said he isolated her from others, introduced her to drugs, and assaulted her repeatedly. She recalled incidents where he dragged her by the hair, punched her, and stomped on her during arguments.

Video Evidence Presented

As part of the prosecution’s case, jurors viewed hotel surveillance footage from 2016. In the video, Combs appears to chase and assault Ventura in a hallway. A hotel staff member later testified that Combs tried to bribe him to hide the footage.

Currently, Combs remains in custody at a federal detention center in Brooklyn. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people for illegal sexual activity. His legal team maintains that all relationships were consensual and says the prosecution has distorted events.

As the trial continues, the jury has been instructed to focus solely on the testimony and evidence. Ventura’s statement remains a central part of the case, which is expected to continue for several more weeks with additional witness testimony.
