Anna Wintour Steps Down as Vogue U.S. Editor

Anna Wintour has stepped down as editor-in-chief of Vogue U.S., ending her 37-year tenure that began in 1988. She announced the decision to staff during a June 25 meeting.
However, she will remain at Condé Nast. and will continue serving as Global Chief Content Officer and Global Editorial Director for Vogue, where she will still shape the magazine’s global strategy and oversee events like the Met Gala.
This shift comes as Condé Nast restructures its editorial leadership. Recently, the company has created the role of Head of Editorial Content to lead each publication, and it is currently searching for a successor at Vogue U.S.

“After so many years, I feel this is the right moment,” Wintour told staff, according to reports.
