But a major turnaround came fast: on April 4, Chris Larsen—co-founder of Ripple—and his nonprofit Avenue Greenlight stepped in with a lifesaving grant, pulling together enough funds (the total now exceeds $500,000) to revive the event with support from Supervisors Bilal Mahmood and Stephen Sherrill.

Festival organizers launched a “Fillmore Jazz Festival Preservation Fund” (GoFundMe) to ensure future editions, signaling this not just as a one‑year rescue but a reboot.
